This was such an amazing show but with the passing of Chris Cornell 4 shows after this one its very bitter sweet. No one sings like him any more. I hope him and Jeff Buckley are having a blast in rock and roll heaven.
Note from show: They had an artist signing table and I was 4th in line to get an autograph. We were waiting on Rob Thomas to show up for a bit so I was able to talk to the band for a while. The three people in front of me were 15 year old girls who were more interested in drawing on things with the pens. When Rob Thomas showed up they started writing on his arms. No on in the line really knew who Matchbox Twenty was until that day because there was about 15 people in line when I had left. (signed ticket shown below) They were really nice guys.
Note from show: This show was right when the song "Semi-Charmed Life" was getting airplay so it was fun to see live because it hadnt been played a million times yet. I was able to meet the lead singer after the show while he was walking around. I had already had Matchbox Twenty sign my concert ticket, so I reached into my pocket and had him sign my McDonald's free ice cream cone coupon shown below. I was sad, but looking back on it, I am happy I did.
